Helping Kids Thrive

Aug 4, 2022

Guest: Rachel Heinz, Special Needs Parent + Disability Advocate

While it can be challenging to navigate parenthood as a special needs parent, it doesn’t mean you have to do it alone. When we get involved together as a community and begin to support one another, we can create more opportunities for awareness and inclusion not just in our homes and schools, but in society as a whole.

In this episode, Nicole is joined by Rachel Heinz, a special needs parent and passionate disability advocate. Combined with her professional background in nonprofit fundraising and development, and her love for her son with special needs, Rachel is building advocacies that step outside of the box to provide resources and tools that help our families and communities support people with disabilities in the best way possible.

If you want to help foster positive change, join Nicole and Rachel as they discuss how we can get passionate and involved in advocating for children with special needs with creativity and intention.
